Ongoing Research

Genetics and Supplements:

Genetic research has been largely limited to pharmaceutical active ingredients. Yet, it is with supplements, functional foods, and traditional medicines that the most variability of response is observed among each individual patient.

We believe that this variability is the result of difference in absorption and metabolism for each supplement. These differences in absorption and metabolism can be characterized by specific genetic mutations within numerous transport and metabolism genes. GPH Biotech is actively involved in defining these mutations for many common supplements, functional foods and traditional medicines.

Palliative Care:

GPH Biotech is currently involved in genetic research on the optimization of palliative supplement care in cancer, COPD, alopecia and IVF therapies. We are also developing new gene assays for preserving your eye health with the correct supplements.

Biomarkers:

We are developing proprietary biomarker assays to monitor our patients' progress on genetically tailored supplements. Our proprietary serum biomarker kits will track the effectiveness of the individualized supplement therapy with just one drop of blood. Using these kits, we will be able to optimize changes in supplement treatment and its dosage.
